Song Of The Day (SOTD) – The Go-Gos

Posted by RealDaffyDuck on March 5, 2010

Can you hear them
They talk about us
Telling lies
Well that’s no surprise

Can you see them
See right through them
They have no shield
No secrets to reveal

It doesn’t matter what they say
In the jealous games people play

Our lips are sealed

There’s a weapon
That we must use
In our defense
Silence

When you look at them
Look right through them
That’s when they’ll disappear
That’s when we’ll be feared

It doesn’t matter what they say
In the jealous games people play

Our lips are sealed

Pay no mind to what they say
It doesn’t matter anyway

Our lips are sealed

Hush, my darling
Don’t you cry
Quiet, angel
Forget their lies

Careless talk
Through paper walls
We can’t stop them
Only laugh at them

Spreading rumors
So far from true
Dragged up from the underworld
Just like some precious pearl

It doesn’t matter what they say
In the jealous games people play
Our lips are sealed

Pay no mind to what they say
It doesn’t matter anyway
Our lips are sealed

There’s a weapon
We must use
In our defense
Silence

When you look at them
Look right through them
That’s when they’ll disappear
That’s when you’ll be feared

song performed by The Go-Go’s in the album Greatest

Feel free to just delete ronru’s (and friends’) inane posts. Nobody here will care.

And you do realize the 80’s were, like, 30 years ago, right?

    • So, just proves how little human nature changes.

Plus, I bet 30 years ago, all the better kids were picking on and making fun of Kenny as well… Nothing’s changed.

  3. Wow! That Jack Bauer Assperger kid really, seriously, totally has lost the plot.

Exhibiting some serious signs of mental and emotional instabilities — not really a surprise, but on the other hand, damn would that guy be fun to meet in real life, just for the entertainment he’d be providing at length…
