Typically Thailand: Bangkok Street Market

Posted by RealDaffyDuck on March 17, 2010

Fruits, vegetables, and sausages... oh, my!

In Thailand you can find fresh food at street markets and carts on every street at almost any time of the day or night. The food is very fresh and delicious. I’ve tried it and if you happen to be in Thailand I recommend you try it too.

Noodles ... of all colors and flavors

The food carts are like the gourmet buffets in 5 star hotels. With each cart specializing in a certain type of food. Fruit, vegetable, dessert, soups, fish, beef/pork/chicken on a skewer are all available at the street carts in Bangkok.

Ask anyone who’s been to Bangkok and they will tell you, street food is delicious and very inexpensive. Forget the advice from the self proclaimed masters of the universe.

Purple Spy enjoys street food to fuel his workouts in the gym and out. If he can do it you can too.

If you want to eat in Bangkok faster and cheaper you need to eat at a food cart. Aroy Maak!

Sumtam cart, Soi Cowboy, me and all the Isaan cuties prepin’ for an evening of debauchery. It just doesn’t get much better than that! (Though the bug cart next to NEP runs a close second.)

SBDOTKU. Just past Nana Plaza and the bug cart on Soi 4 there’s a lady with a giant wok who makes some delicious pad thai. Have you tried?
