1936, eh? Sound like anyone we know..?

Posted by RealDaffyDuck on April 16, 2011

“The central belief of every moron is that he is the victim of a mysterious conspiracy against his common rights and true deserts. He ascribes all his failure to get on in the world, all of his congenital incapacity and damfoolishness, to the machinations of werewolves assembled in Wall Street, or some other such den of infamy.”
-H. L. Mencken, Baltimore Evening Sun, June 15, 1936

Just because I’m paranoid doesn’t mean they’re not out to get me!

    • Maybe that’s what the voices in his head are telling him…. and then sending him dozens of text messages about… Hahaha

I love the “werewolves assembled in Wall Street” part of the comment – just goes to show that the pathology of his insanity goes waaaaaaaaayyyy back. Sometimes makes me wonder what crazy people glommed on to before the industrial revolution?

Burning bushes? Imagine, if you will, Prufie 1,000 years ago – he’d probably either be the crazy village idiot, or one of the minions of the Inquisition.

I would say minion. He is a idiot, but the way he constantly bangks on the keyboard he’d be a useful tool.
