Learning Thai

We all know why.

(sadly, WordPress prevents the embedding of this video – click on the image and it will take you to NBC to play it) (alternate link that works in Thailand added)

  1. “click on the image and it will take you to NBC to play it”

    Unless your in Thailand

“We’re sorry, but the clip you selected isn’t available from your location. Please select another clip”

  2. Very funny just watched it! I knew it would be a mistake but I played it for my wife.

To say she is pissed about how it portrayed Thailand is an understatement.

It is hard to believe but most Thais do believe that people come here for the temples, food and beaches. The food is better in Malaysia, the beaches are better in Indonesia and does anybody really care about the temples……..honestly

    • Maybe they should move the American Embassy across from Nana Plaza – so when outraged Thais go to protest it, they get a dose of reality. Maybe even change opening times to be nighttime only 😉

Yeah, did you read the comments on the YouTube link? A lot of Thais also comment on there, though, and tell the outraged Thais to stuff it.

    • Meanwhile, Kenny’s site continues to serve as nothing else but the poop-bucket of the Thai Blogosphere…., continuing the Keith Summers vomitorium thread. The funny thing is that this thread is uniquely maintained by our friend “Tyronne” (i.e. he’s providing both sides of the conversation).

      They have temples?

    • Hey Wombat – nice to see you back.

I learned to say ‘roll over please’ in 5 different languages.

  4. I met a guy in Pattaya once who had been there 3 weeks and he asked me where the beach was?????? We were inside Central Pattaya Mall! No, I did not make that up!

  5. Even funnier are the comments on The Bangkok Post……….

Is Disneyland called an “industry ?” how about soccer – an industry ? or golf ? so why
describe ” Adult Entertainment ” as an “industry ” ?I came here for weeks holidayand “overstayed” 8 years primarily because of the “Evening Blossoms”. I no longer need gyms, jogging, special diets or any other health extending programs and need not buy expensive dinners for 2 star snobbish women when, within arms reach are, often 4 star, ( maybe 4 &1/2 stars,), tiny, luscious, bronze skinned,”entertainers” who have added pleasant years to my life ? Ashamed ? Hell no !
